    • Cottages on the hills. Surroundings were very quite and peaceful. There was fresh air outside the room and place is absolute value for money.
    • didnot like at all.. very poor service..
    • Bad

    Cons -

    • they have nothing in menu except Indian main course. very poor service and management.. they took 1 hour to provide us towel and bathroom accessories after check in.. and response is also bad
    • The door lock was the very first problem that I came across. Had to wait for 10 minutes for the door to open. The next day had to wait for 20-25 minutes for the door lock to get repaired. The food that we had ordered had hair in it. This didn't happen just once but twice. On the day of check-out there was no answer to any of the calls made to the reception or the kitchen. Very disappointing stay. The washing sink in the washroom was also leaking. Waste of money.
    • Washroom tiles were broken, gate lock was not in place

    Only the location was good.

The staff is very unprofessional and seeing two girls they quoted more price than my booking.

I loved the view, a good bead, good bathroom

The dogs running around on the terrace doing their “ buissnes” outside my room. When I complained I got the answer “ we do allow dogs” . It resisted me from sitting on the roof top veranda in the evening and in the morning.

The location was nice, an easy walk into town.

When we arrived we went to our "cottage room." We originally booked this room because it looked like the foliage around the room would be lovely, with a private patio/deck, and a nice place to relax for a week. The room had a leaky shower (drip...drip...drip), and NO DRAIN in the bathroom!! What?! Where does the water from the shower go?? We never did find out. The incessant dripping caused us to ask for a different room. They did quickly give us a different room. Thank you! The new room itself was lovely with a back deck area. Lots of construction noise throughout the day, so we never got to enjoy it, but that's not their fault. On the last day there our room had NO WATER. We never did figure out what had happened, and at the time they did not understand what the issue was either. So we were moved to another room which was a little dingy and worn out. We were at this hotel for, I think, 6 nights. The woman at the front desk was a little rude, but we didn't really care about that much. At this time we had been traveling around India for 6 weeks and had stayed in a bunch of different places; this place had potential to be a really nice respite, but that didn't quite happen. Ah well, you can't win them all.

There was nothing to like. The stay could have been a nightmare if I had stayed. Looking at the property and location I quickly decided that this accommodation is not I should go with the family.

I suggest do not book this property even if they offer a room at 0 costs. The location is shady with steep climb, parking is a challenge. The rooms have no privacy. Images shown on booking websites are completely different. The staff is not at all helpful and friendly. Their only objective is to take the advance so that you are left with no option but to stay here. But imagine even I paid in advance I did not stayed in the property.

The view, staff and room decor were good.

Plants were almost dry and shredded.., I wish if they could have more flowers and plants around property. Further lack of CCTV camera at corner premium balcony rooms and low wifi.

Didn’t like one single thing about this place. Stay Away from This Horrible Place!

Everything was the just worst. They can win the best worst stay at Rishikesh award.I cannot express how awful our experience at this property was. What should’ve been a simple stay turned into an absolute disaster. First off, no one bothered to mention the ridiculously steep climb to get to the location. It’s exhausting and frustrating, and we were completely unprepared for it.From the second we stepped into our room, it was obvious that cleanliness wasn’t even on their radar. The linens were disgusting, and despite asking them to change them, nothing was done. The area around the gate? Filthy. Housekeeping? A joke. They clearly don’t care about maintaining any standards. The Wi-Fi didn’t work for the entire duration of our stay, leaving us disconnected and frustrated. The reception staff were fake-friendly when we first got there, but by the end of the stay, they were uncooperative and completely dismissive. We actually thought about extending our stay, found a cheaper, better room on the same property, and asked about the price difference. Instead of giving us a straight answer, we got some nonsense that made it clear they had no idea what they were doing. Even though we decided to extend our stay at the same property. We even asked them to book the new room for us and explained that while it was being cleaned, we’d quickly freshen up in our old room, meaning we’d stay a little past our checkout time. so we thought everything was sorted. But when we finally decided to switch rooms, we returned to find the new room wasn’t even ready! After all the back and forth, it was the last straw. At that point, we just wanted to leave. We had our cat with us, and when we first arrived, Ms. Jyoti was perfectly fine with us leaving her at reception. But when we wanted to do it again on our departure day, suddenly she refused, claiming some dog nearby might bite her.

Location was quite good with beautiful views. Room was also peaceful, comfortable, organized and well decorated.

Some of the facilities were not available like TV was not working. Electric kettle was also not working. Washroom required pest control as lots of creepy insects were there in the bathroom. Mosquitos were also there in the room. Breakfast not included in the room tariff, however same was expected while booking the room with the amount they charged.

I really don't get why they have bad reviews at all, it is not up a steep hill, rather a gradual incline and the room was very clean. I loved the Swiss Cottage and Spa. I loved the location, out of the way of the noise but also very close to tapovan, I loved the service, the people who work there are incredibly helpful, especually Judy, she is a legend, they all are. And the bedroom was great, I stayed in the suite, it isn't a cottage in the sense that it is seperate, but it is very big and has a little private terrace. The shower was great, the bed was great, the price too, we had a really good stay. Thank you everyone!

Location of the hotel was good but the pathway is horrible.

No proper car park. It’s risky to drive up to the hotel.

Nothing like any thing about this property.

Very Disappointing with the cleanliness of the property. Some times water supply also stops. For aged persons it is absolutely not advisable. Way between main road to hotel is very danger. No once want to go again there. they do not bother to repair it. Bad sheets and other toiletries are worst. Very poor in all sence. Dont choose this property.

I liked the location and view from the balcony. The surrounding was quite and comfortable.

The service was very poor, on our check out day I asked for 2 tea and 1 sandwich at 8 am. And I received the order at 9:30, after going to hotels kitchen several times as no one from reception or kitchen is picking the phone. And we were the only guest that day.

The Room Size was the only positive. I can not find any other that I can say I liked. Vikas and Chandan were two staffs I want to mention who kept the hotel livable for a while.

The worst was the location. One has to walk upto 300 meters with the entire luggage to arrive at the reception, then walk some more to arrive at the room. Located on a hilltop, there is no parking, except two wheelers, you can not approach the hotel. Even Google had difficulty in identifying the hotel. The room provided was quite big,in fact so big that the heritage AC was unable to cool it in the sweltering heat of Indian Summer. The AC was modified to remain fixed at 25 degree celsius and the grandfather AC was unable to arrive at that temperature. On day one, the room, the corridors all were covered with dust. The staff cleaned it only after repeated reminders. The Grandfather TV did not work till our departure, which we had to prepone by one day due to the conditions. There was no breakfast included and there was no concept of veg non veg differentiation amongst the kitchen staff. Worse still, due to the location of the hotel, there was no other option for food nearby. The hotel may be good for individuals who want solitude at Rishikesh, but definitely not for common Indian Family man travelling with family.

    Interiors

Proximity from the main road, no BF availability near by restaurants, too much walking including staircases to reach premium rooms and the view from the room is not great and not exactly how its shown in their website photos !! Overall not worth the money that you pay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. Room service was fairly prompt. Fridge in room.

Location was set back from main road but still could hear traffic noise. Rubbish strewn hill behind our balcony. Burning rubbish smoke came in though aircon unit. Lots of dogs in garden, one was standing on our table, paw prints on table cloth. Not very hygienic. Bathroom smelt of sewage. Bed linen and towels were grey and threadbare. Furniture was stained. Windows were broken. Room not cleaned very often. Got sick. Left 2 days early.

Excellent location and very good hospitality

Cleanliness was below our expectation but they did listen to our requests.

    1AmanPosted on: 4-19-2024

Staff and only the reception person was courteous.

View in pictures vs. reality is worlds apart, towels were badly worn out, linen not clean. Bedsheet had hair and dust present. Towels felts as if they were vintage, nothing special about the property including view and parking facilities. Had to park out on the road. AC remote non functional, tea set was present with no kettle in room. NOT WORTH IT. NOT WORTH UPTO TO THE RATINGS. Hate beung deceived by a business, this was a deception 0/10.
